Our Story

Andrea and Molly met working at Hotlips Pizza in NE Portland, and were simply coworkers for months before there was any inkling that they might become friends, much less fall in love and one day, get married. But after half a year of making pizza side by side, Molly told Andrea she wanted to hold her hand (…really), and they’ve been together ever since.

But after half a year of making pizza side by side, Molly told Andrea she wanted to hold her hand (…really), and they’ve been together ever since.
In the nearly-ten years of their relationship, Molly and Andrea have lived in 3 houses and adopted 3 pets. They’ve traveled to California, Texas, Canada, the San Juan Islands, Utah, Idaho, Hawaii, New York, and Portugal. They’ve discovered mutual loves for women’s soccer and video games. They’ve run a 5K and biked over almost all of Portland’s bridges.

But more important than shared interests and adventures are the ways that they’ve supported and taken care of one another. Each has seen the other through grad school and a career change. Andrea learned to make Portuguese Kale soup because Molly remembered her dad cooking it as a child, and now it is a staple in their household. Molly cared for Andrea as she recovered from a major surgery. They have supported each other’s growth into deeper understandings of themselves, and have decided 10 years into that journey is a good a time as any to celebrate the life they’ve built together!
